Last night we went to the W to meet with the band I'm singing with next Sunday. They had an incredibly entertaining singer, Brenna Whitaker. The event was hosted by Alex Quin.
She was hilarious and cute. She could really sing too. Little Joe Jonas was there. It was funny to see women my age wanting to talk to him. I'll never understand the cougar thing. lol!
We had a fantastic time and I look forward to sitting in next week to sing a few songs. All this is to prepare for the big day at The House of Blues on January 31st. (Read the review and buy tickets here) I've chosen some sexy sassy songs that have forced me to get dancing again.
Being a classically trained Opera singer is good and bad. Once you've mastered Opera, you can sing anything because it's the hardest. But as an Opera singer, you are trained to be very composed. It will be refreshing to really shake it at the HOB.
I used to dance like crazy in high school and college. The burlesque dancers last night made me say to myself, "Hmmm. I can move like that! I need to get back into dance!" It is refreshing to get out of my skin a little. I always reign it in because my voice (and personality) are HUGE. Last night showed me in many places, that is encouraged. You gotta love Hollywood for that. On that note, I'm off to work on designing a red fringe dress...since the girls fringe bikini's probably would be a bit much for my busty bod. hahaa

I can finally post all the photos I've accumulated! That is a full time job! I do 20k+ photos a year, so I'm always behind in posting them. My webmaster extraordinaire Steve Kennedy has been a life saver in so many ways. He does so much for me on and off the web. THANK YOU!!! Look for many new photos and clips.
