I'm singing @ The House of Blues!

It has always been a dream of mine to play at The House of Blues in LA. My idols are Bonnie Raitt, Sarah Vaugan, Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James and of course Melissa Etheridge! I'm working on my song list and so far I have some really fun sassy songs. I finally get to sing MY kind of music, Jazz Standards of the 40's! I sing January 31st @ 9pm. Details can be found at:

Looking back, I must say I learned so much from Lorraine Garland. She was fearless on stage. She was inspiring and I was always in awe of her ability to make friends with the crowd. If I do half as well as she does every week, I'll bring down the house! I am so thankful I was friends with her. She taught me so much. www.fabulouslorraine.com I remember we did a show back in 2005. It was a big audience. I had the flu, but the stage fright was worse. I marveled at how at ease with herself she was. She saved the show with her wit. I credit her for teaching me to overcome my stage fright. I can sing all day, but hamming it up with the crowd was taught to me by Lorraine.

The night of the 31st will be a blast because we get to dress up in vintage clothes! Think Vegas...zoot suits, flapper dresses, hats and feathers. Boardwalk Empire meets Mad Men for all you Hollywood creatures. Yeah yeah, I'll leave my deringer at home, but I do expect my buddies to come looking like the old rat pack.
