Spring Fever Project UPDATE!

I've had some fun projects lately. I just finished Jude Prest's adaptation of Neil Gaiman's short story,
"We can get them for you wholesale"
It stars Brian Howe and Dan Roebuck, Michael Fucci and a bunch of cool actors I am rudely not remembering. If you are familiar with the story, I was Gwendolyn. Dan and I have been Monster fans together for 9 years now. I always see him at the gallery shows and conventions.
It was a blast.

Then I got hired to design and sew a costume for a Peter Cushing bust. I always enjoy sewing. Pattern making is always a "hope it works" thing and you sweat until it's perfect. So far, it's perfect.

In a week from today I will be gone for a while doing some "plus size" modeling overseas. It's a labor of love and a fabulous getaway. I'll be posting photos from that soon.

A few people have asked me lately, "Why have you worked for free on creative projects?" Well, sometimes I get paid big for little things, sometimes I get paid nothing for BIG things. As long as it makes me happy and my family happy, I'll do it. Being a singer, actress and model has been my occupation for many years.

These things are now becoming hobbies as I raise my daughter and learn to live life as Malena, not Mrs. Teves. But I still get to do what I love even if it's on a smaller scale these days. I'm getting back to what makes ME happy and who I really am. And that my friends, is priceless.

With love and less photoshop,
Malena

Hey Girls! When I get back lets do a webcam conference like we used to. My friend has a fancy HD cam we can use. I'll set it up after the 8th of April. I return from abroad on the 7th. I have the Psychic Tee show on the 8th at 6pm LA time. So if you have a preference as to when you want to do it let me know. My webmaster will tell me how to make the most of it for all of you. Dan, even through the move I still have your full length hellraiser coat! (damn it's been since the 09 convention) but I am still going to mail it. [I owe him big as he did my site for years]
Any suggestions you have are welcome. We will sing and play chipmunks, talk fashion...I'll do my Bob McKensie face and have a blast.
Love you all!
M

Yes Ravyn! Every steampunk outfit I see I think of you. I'll see if I can find something for you at the next Con.

Yes that is Jill Thompson. My favorite artist of the little Death character. I will tag my photos when I return. Remind me. Thanks Stephen!
